When I think of her books, I feel myself jerking in surprise at what I find on the page. Hope and hard work. You will succeed. Ironically enough, I just finished reading "Alchemy and Meggy Swann" by Karen Cushman with my big girls and we found it magical as well as finessed. I like this idea, and hold out hope that when the time comes that I actually produce something printable, it will have something magical in it. I really hope. Anyway, besides just hoping, I'd better buckle down and figure out some of this alchemy, hey? Selfless people doing unconditional things for others + laughter, now, that's something that'll benefit humanity.

I don't need a flawless author. What I need as a reader, are authors who can change my world with their words (and laugh). As a writer, this is ultimately my goal as well.

Profound post, as always.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02691497935668743387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10937707.post-78840898326452274082012-12-02T19:12:36.048-06:002012-12-02T19:12:36.048-06:00Thanks for the book suggestion, Vijaya. I have a book you should read -- it's OOP, called Writing a Book that makes a Difference by Philip Gerard. I read it off and on, when I need a guiding hand.

Have a very blessed Advent, my friend.Vijayahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07876606729146077830noreply@blogger.com
